Sidewalk Pie with Apple and Maple Cream

INGREDIENTS

  • Pie pie of your choice.
  • 2/3 cup (180 ml) Cassonade
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Maple Cream of the Estate
  • ½ cup (125 mL) 15% or 35% cream
  • A hint of vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • A 16 inch by 11 inch rolled cake plate

STEPS

  1. Line up your pie plate so it rises to the edges of the plate.
  2. Sprinkle pie dough with cornstarch and 1/3 cup brown sugar.
  3. Place the apple slices in rows and place them on top of each other. Sprinkle the apples with the remaining brown sugar.
  4. Whisk the eggs and maple cream of the Domaine, 15% or 35% cream and the hint of vanilla.
  5. Pour over apples.
  6. Put in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until the crust is cooked and the top begins to brown. Serve with ice cream.
